Commuter Student Parking to be Relocated Thurs, 9/16

Transportation Services has announced that commuter parking will be relocated from Cajun Field to Blackham Coliseum on Thursday, Sept. 16 to allow for preparations during the day for the home football game against Ohio at 7 p.m. Vehicles parked at Cajun Field on game day are subject to towing.

All commuter students may park at the Blackham Coliseum located at 2330 Johnston Street. Entrances into the Blackham parking lot include the Cajun Dome Boulevard entrance and the Johnston Street entrance nearest Coliseum Drive. All other entrances into the Blackham parking lot will be closed. Parking will be allowed on the east, west and south sides of the coliseum. Regular bus service hours of 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. will be in effect. The bus stop will be located on the west side of the coliseum.

Hourly parking locations include 101 Mildred Street, 119 West St. Mary Street (behind Burger King), 333 East University Street and Girard Circle Parking Garage floors 1-3. The Girard Garage regular rates will remain in place. The fees are $5 for 2 hours minimum and $1 per hour thereafter payable at the kiosks in the garage on floors 1-3 or through the ParkMobile app. All other hourly locations will have a $1 per hour rate on Thursday, 9/16 only from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Bourgeois Hall bus service will be cancelled for the day. The nearest bus pick up location will be located on the west side of Blackham at the Bus Stop sign.

Everyone is encouraged to expect delays and plan ahead to get to campus at your desired time.
