Fall 2022 Parking Permits Expire Dec. 31

Fall 2022 semester parking permits will expire on Saturday, Dec. 31, for residents, commuter students, student aides, adjunct instructors, graduate assistants, and those who park in the Girard Park Circle Parking Tower or the Wilson Street lot.

Spring 2023 Permit Information

The following permits will go on sale on Tuesday, Nov. 29, for the Spring 2023 semester: commuter, student aide, adjunct instructor, graduate assistant, Girard Park Circle Parking Tower, and the Wilson Street lot.

Permits for residential students will go on sale Tuesday, Dec. 13.

All spring permits will expire on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.

 

Permit Pricing

Spring permit pricing will be as follows:

  • Residential permits - $40
  • Commuter students:
    • Commuter parking at Cajun Field is free, but you must obtain the Spring 2023 Commuter Parking Permit.
    • Girard Park Circle Parking Tower permit for parking on floors four through six - $325.
    • Hourly parking is available in the Girard Park Circle Parking Tower on floors one through three for $5 for the first two hours with a two-hour minimum. The rate after the first two hours is $1 per hour.
    • Other hourly parking options are available through the ParkMobile app at $1.75 per hour with no minimum at the following locations:
    • 333 E. University Ave.;
    • 119 W. St. Mary Blvd. (behind Burger King);
    • 101 Mildred St. ($1 per hour); and
    • Zone 17 – the corner closest to UPA Drive.
  • Student Workers - $40
  • All student workers should contact their department to ensure their name was submitted for the option to purchase a Spring 2023 parking permit. Student worker parking permits are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis online only.
  • GA permits will be in the Perimeter zones and will be sold online.
  • Graduate assistants - $40

Permit Purchase Options

Parking permits may be purchased online or in person at the Office of Transportation Services.

To purchase online:

  1. Log into ULink at https://ulink.louisiana.edu.
  2. On the Campus Services tab, in the Parking and Transportation section, click the Access My Parking Account link.
  3. Select Get Permits and follow the prompts. Be sure to read all of the information provided on each page.
  4. Your permit is purchased when you receive a confirmation email to your University email address. If you do not receive confirmation, contact the Office of Transportation Services at parking@louisiana.edu.

To purchase your permit in person at the Office of Transportation Services, you must have your student ID, vehicle registration, and payment. Payments accepted include debit/credit card, money order, and Cajun Cash. Checks and cash are not accepted.

 

Handicap Parking Permits

Individuals who have previously purchased a Commuter Student Handicap Parking Permit and whose state-issued handicap credentials are active may email geauxpark@louisiana.edu to request to purchase a semester student handicap permit online.

Individuals who have not previously purchased a commuter handicap parking permit with Transportation Services may send a scan of their driver’s license, mobility card, and placard or vehicle registration for review. A confirmation email will be sent within two business days with instructions on how to purchase the permit.

 

Office of Transportation Services Contact Information

The Office of Transportation Services is located next to the UL Federal Credit Union at 619 McKinley St., suite 100. The lobby will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. on Friday.

Please note the University and the Office of Transportation Services will be closed Dec. 19 through Jan. 2. Emails and voicemails will be returned when offices reopen on Jan. 3.
